Publishing & Contribution Guidelines
Guidelines for Publishing Stories
We encourage you to share your experiences, insights, and journeys related to problem-solving, professional networking, and collaborative innovation. Your stories can inspire others, spark discussions, and contribute to the collective knowledge of our community.
What Kind of Stories to Share:
Problem-Solving Journeys: Share how you tackled a challenging problem, the strategies you used, the obstacles you overcame, and the lessons you learned. This could be related to a side project, a business challenge, or even a personal endeavor.
Networking Successes: Tell us about meaningful connections you’ve made within or outside this community that have led to positive outcomes, collaborations, or new opportunities. Focus on the value exchange and the impact of the connection.
Collaborative Innovation in Action: Describe instances where you’ve worked with others to create something new or improve an existing solution. Highlight the collaborative process, the different perspectives involved, and the results achieved.
“Lessons Learned” from Your Ventures: Share valuable insights and takeaways from your experiences with side projects, small businesses, solo ventures, or startups. What would you do differently next time? What advice would you give to others?
Stories of Positive Impact: Detail how your work, projects, or ventures have made a positive difference in the lives of others, your community, or the world. Focus on the impact and the motivation behind it.
“Behind the Scenes” of Your Process: Offer a glimpse into your creative process, your workflow, or the methodologies you use to approach your work. This can be valuable for others looking to improve their own practices.
Reflections on Growth and Development: Share personal growth stories related to your professional journey, highlighting how you’ve developed new skills, overcome limitations, or shifted your perspective.
What to Avoid (Focus on Value, Not Promotion):
Blatant Self-Promotion: Stories should primarily focus on the experience, the learning, and the value shared, not directly promoting your product, service, or personal brand. Mentions are acceptable within the context of the story, but the primary purpose should not be marketing.
Sales Pitches: Stories should not be disguised sales pitches for your business or services.
Irrelevant Content: Stories should align with the core themes of problem-solving, networking, collaborative innovation, and positive impact.
Content Lacking Substance: Share stories with meaningful insights, lessons, or experiences that others can learn from. Avoid overly brief or superficial posts.
Confidential or Proprietary Information: Do not share information that you are not authorized to disclose.
Offensive or Harmful Content: Stories must adhere to community guidelines and be respectful of all members.
Formatting and Style Tips:
Compelling Titles: Create titles that are informative and engaging, giving readers a clear idea of what the story is about.
Clear and Concise Language: Write in a way that is easy to understand and follow. Break down longer stories with paragraphs and headings.
Be Authentic and Genuine: Share your experiences in your own voice. Authenticity resonates with readers.
Focus on the “Why” and the “How”: Explain your motivations, your processes, and the key takeaways from your experience.
Consider Adding Visuals (if applicable): Relevant images or videos can enhance your story and make it more engaging. Ensure you have the rights to use any visuals.
Proofread Your Work: Before publishing, take the time to review your story for any errors in grammar or spelling.
While we encourage open sharing, community moderators may review submissions to ensure they align with these guidelines. Stories that are deemed to be primarily self-promotional, irrelevant, or harmful may be removed or edited.
